Student designers fair

I had great fun at the student designers fair. It was great working with diverse companies and draw and be creative all day.  The jellybeans were yummy! I won the t-shirt design competition which was cool, to get the design printed on t-shirts :-)

I was drawing all day, and can not think of anything I enjoy more.  It was also great to have a day away from the pc's.

Program

I have done a program for the orchestra, to match the poster.

I am working on my CV this week as I am due to be assessed on Monday for it.

Presentation

We had great fun doing our group presentation.  Here are a few sketches I did when researching the characters for Sonic, Sega. The second picture was the research for our logo (which was based on the original logo, but just adding the 20th feature). It was a hectic week and the weather was bad. It took me over two hours to get into college because of the snow! I live in the country where the roads never seem to be gritted.  But......the snow is beautiful and has inspired me to make my own Christmas cards again this year.

I designed a couple of ideas for a poster for my orchestra's concert coming up.  I used the diagram from my infographic brief for one of the posters, and changed the colours and removed the labels.

Digital graphics

I am doing the 'BFG' and 'The twits' as I think the characters are fun. I am drawing the characters and will use a photograph for the background. I like this pic for inspiration in general from the Applemac or BBC website I think.  It is a movie premier and I love the graphics and use of colour in it.

Vector graphics

For my vector graphics I have chosen to do a labeled diagram of the violin instrument. I have chosen this as it should not be too complicated and I would be interested in it subject-wise. I like this pic below. It is from 1st-art-gallery.com and has been painted by Juan Gris. It is not an info graphic but I love it! It is still inspirational non-the-less.

Update

We have been getting assignments ready for assessment so not much time to be finding pics, but I did find some inspiration from Art therapy pics which I needed for my brief.  My children's artwork from nursery school are actually inspirational too because of the freedom of line and colour used, believe it or not!

I have been working on finalising my logo as I do not have much time to complete this brief now. From www6.cityu.edu.hk I found this cool pic.

OOOops, I for got to reference........ do we need to? Any way the Lady Gaga pic above is by David O' Reilly and I think it is a really cool pic. The other one is based on interiors by Jeremiah Goodman.

Anarchy Apathy poster was great fun! A good way to start the term.

Inspiration poster.  I will post any more good works that I find interesting during the year to keep my creative juices flowing.

3D class is a bit daunting for me as I am clueless at the mo! But I am looking forward to being able to design in 3D  :-)
